Living the Sci Life

I’ve gotten a number of new followers here lately (which is great) so I thought I’d take a moment and tell y’all about myself. 

I’m a grad student studying paleontology, right now I’m working on some xenarthran stuff (sloths, armadillos, etc.) but I may be wrapping that work up soon-ish. I don’t talk about my own research a ton in this space but am happy to answer questions if you have any.

In my spare time I like to try my hand at science outreach with a little podcast called Science… sort of. Me and my pals sit around with a beer and talk about science. I love it and hope you’ll give it a listen.

I also write, the podcast has an official blog (Paleocave.com) but I can more often be found over at the comic’s website iFanboy as one of their staff writers. I also occasionally pen pieces for Marvel.com when they want an infusion of hot tasty science. A relatively up to date list of my work can be found here.

This tumblr is where I like to reblog pictures of animals that I like, comment on science stories, post pictures of my travels, and gush over comic art or tasty looking drinks. 

When I’m not online I like to ride bikes and climb rocks.
