The Sheepshead (Archosargus probatocephalus), an Atlantic marine fish, uses its heavy duty human like teeth to grind up crabs, bivalves, and nacho cheese doritos.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Just your friendly reminder that evolution can converge onto horror. Seriously, who puts their fingers anywhere near there?
What most-excellent person wants to hook me up with these? I’m offering some serious brownie points over here.

A fun little commentary on the fact that the chicken is the closest living relative of the T Rex. Dinosaurs are just so fun. :)

Staring down evolution. And guess what, dinos? We mammals went from being weasel things to eating those chickens. Recognize!
Actually a pretty darned good analogy.
Indeed!
Though I could also see this analogy confusing someone without a good understanding of evolution. The point is: It’s not really random; it just had a very complex set of options determined by the environment. (Did I just make it more confusing?! lol)
Pretty elegant explanation.

Incredibly refreshing to read such strong support of evolution coming from outside academia. Maybe there’s hope yet?
What they said.
“The unity of life is an empirical fact” - Touche. It baffles me when people characterize science as bland - science more often than not, is so amazingly poetic.
Anthrax is one of my advanced relatives, but not one of my favorites at the bbq.
I love this image.
The 6 types of denial. Very useful to a person who likes to debate (i.e. me). I often find that the first step in any debate is to break down both sides and find the initial point at which your opinions diverge. If you don’t know how or why the other person feels the way they do how can you ever hope to argue in a way that gets through to them? Also, don’t be a dick.
I will be speaking at this tomorrow, please come if you’re local or promote online if you’re not. THANKS!
