A Therizinosaurus defending itself from an attacking Tyrannosaurus bataar, by Juan de Santiago
Therizinosaurus was actually a freaky theropod. No one knows why they had such strange claws, or why they were so freakishly huge, or what they ate, or how they ate, or how they coped with their depressingly negative body image… What odd balls.
No one knows? I call shenanigans. (I mean sure, no one really KNOWS anything in paleontology, but that’s not the point.) The point is this guy probably ate up some plants, used it’s claws to pull delicious branches into reach just like giant sloths. So yeah, it’s odd, but it’s about as odd as giant sloths, so at least it’s in good company.
Also, this drawing is awesome. No offense intended in my critique of the accompanying text. :-D
